Vox Plop: Free museum entrance
Heritage Malta is today allowing free entrance to four of its museums. Bis-Serjetà ventured into the street to ask the Maltese what they think of this generous offer…
“What?! Free entrance to museums? That’s fantastic…where are they?”
Mary Buhagiar, 34, Qrendi
“I’m already a member, as you can tell from this little badge that I wear proudly even when I go to bed. Paċi miegħek u viva Dun Ġorg.”
Mark Attard, 24, Marsascala
“I’ve just been to the natural history museum and all I saw in there were future Labour ministers. Hahahaha! Am I funny or what?”
Kevin Borg, 40, Attard
“I also went to the natural history museum. I think it’s really cruel that they pin the poor butterflies down like that. I’m going to start a Facebook page which will then probably get mentioned in a newspaper!”
Dorothy Camilleri, 39, Qormi
“Dinosaurs or GTFO.”
Nicky Caruana, 14, Teh Interwebz
“I don’t need to go to a museum to learn about history. I watch Game of Thrones every week.”
Steve Bonello, 23, Winterfell
“I am boycotting anything related to today’s national holiday, because I have no idea what we’re remembering.”
Frannie Micallef von Broccoli, 18, Pembroke
“I visited the Inquisitor’s Palace. It was terrible. In the past people faced long delays to have their case heard, and sometimes the punishments given out were really disproportionate and illogical. Oh wait, that was the modern day court? Oops.”
Matthew Scicluna, 50, Mellieħa
