Drink beer if water runs out, says Pullicino

By Karl Stennienibarra -

Rural affairs minister George Pullicino has suggested that people should drink beer in the incredibly unlikely event that water should ever run out in Malta in the future.

"And then I said, 'Let them drink Cisk!'"

“Obviously water will never run out under normal circumstances,” Mr Pullcino said, “but if a freak fire storm should descend from the heavens and wipe out all water on the islands, then I see no reason why we can’t all just drink beer.

The minister added that the potential uses of beer were not just limited to drinking.

“Whenever I visit a PN club it smells like all the people in there bathe in beer already, and they all look pretty happy to me.”

“And can you imagine how much more awesome Splash and Fun Park would be if you ended up in a pool of beer? Not  that I’d know of course, seeing as I was banned from there many years ago.”

Regarding the growing of produce, Mr Pullicino said that the success of beer gardens in Germany proved that one could use beer for irrigation.

Most importantly, according to the minister, “chicks dig sports cars that stink of beer.”
